HARVEY CEDARS RESPONDS TO THE CORONAVIRUS COVID-19

The Borough of Harvey Cedars is closely monitoring and following recommendations of the County, State, and National health organizations, as well as local Emergency Services organizations regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19).  The Borough will be exercising its social distance by limiting public interaction.

Effective Monday, June 22, 2020 Borough Hall will reopen to the public.  Face masks will be required in the building and a maximum occupancy will be posted.  All Beach Badge sales and pickups will be available at the booth in Sunset Park beginning June 22, daily from 10am to 3pm.

Effective Monday, June 15, 2020 public bathrooms and tennis courts will be open in Sunset Park.  Playground remains closed at this time.

Effective Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at 12:00pm, the Borough of Harvey Cedars declared a State of Emergency. This declaration was made in solidarity with all LBI towns due to the seriousness of the event.  This declaration will better enable the Borough to protect and serve its residents through resource allocation, suspending local laws, ordinances or regulations which might prevent necessary action in dealing with a disaster, future reimbursements related to any expenditures made in response to this outbreak etc.  We remind everyone to adhere to the national, state and local authorities’ recommendations and orders.  Click here for the Proclamation.

Effective March 16, 2020, all public buildings in Harvey Cedars will remain locked until further notice.

Effective May 4, 2020 Sunset Park is open; bathrooms, gazebo and playground remain closed until further notice.

Effective May 5, 2020 beaches remain open with some restrictions: no beach buggies, no congregating, and social distancing must be maintained.  Click here for the Proclamation. 

BUSINESS HOURS:  Borough offices will be staffed Monday – Friday during the hours of 8:30am – 4:00pm. Borough business shall be conducted through the telephone, email and regular mail.  Visits to the Borough Hall should only be done when necessary to drop off payments or correspondence in the outside drop box near the front entrance. The Borough Hall remains locked until futher notice.

Regular Borough meetings will be held as scheduled remotely via Zoom.  Refer to the meeting schedule for further information.

TAX & WATER/SEWER PAYMENTS:  Next Water/Sewer payments are due June 25th with a 10-day grace period.  Next quarterly Property Taxes are due August 1st with a 10-day grace period. Payments may be mailed or can be paid online through our website www.harveycedars.org. All payments can also be placed in the drop box near the front door of the Borough Hall.
