HARVEY CEDARS, NJ                                                       January 7, 2005

 

The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of Harvey Cedars, NJ was called to order by Mayor Oldham at 4:31pm who stated to the best of his knowledge all requirements of the State Sunshine Law had been met.  Commissioners Gerkens and Garofalo and Board Attorney John Cerefice were present.

 

Motion to approve the minutes of the previous meeting, December 23, 2004, was made by

Commissioner Gerkens, seconded by Commissioner Garofalo.

 

Motion to approve the Board of Commissioner’s worksession and executive minutes for the year 2004 was made by Commissioner Garofalo, seconded by Commissioner Gerkens.

 

ORDINANCE #2005-01 FIRST READING

AN ORDINANCE FIXING AND DETERMINING THE ANNUAL BASE SALARIES OF CERTAIN OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE BOROUGH OF HARVEY CEDARS FOR THE YEAR 2005

REPORTS FROM COMMISSIONERS:

Commissioner Garofalo –

·        We are currently working on the budget.

Commissioner Gerkens –

·        Public Works had 3.5 hours of snow removal and clearing ice.

Mayor Oldham –

·        The Police Chief will be retiring this year.

·        Tom Major is doing a wonderful job contouring the beaches with the bulldozer.  The 86th Street beach looks huge, and the Sister’s beach looks higher than the others.
