REPORTS FROM COMMISSIONERS:

Commissioner Gerkens –

·        The contractors are spreading gravel by the new pier (at Cedars Ave.).

PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR:

The following issues were presented by Richard Binetsky, 9 West 85th Street, and discussed with the Board:

·        The storm drains by the 85th Street bulkhead are being undermined.  Commissioner Gerkens will have Public Works fill it.

·        The Long Beach Township police cars are still speeding through town for no reason.  Commissioner Garofalo recently spoke with Police Chief Falkowski regarding this matter.  The Chief will be talking to Township Chief Bradley, and feels he may have better luck resolving this issue (than in the past).

·        Has the Borough considered regulating the work hours for home construction?  John Cerefice said most towns have designated hours and most towns do not allow construction on Sundays.  Commissioner Garofalo requested the Clerk to contact other towns in this area to for their regulations and the Board will review this matter.

·        Is there an ordinance for construction site debris?  Some contractors leave their sites a mess.  Commissioner Gerkens said we do have the dumpster ordinance and we have code enforcement checking sites.

·        There has been a truck/trailer parked on the shoulder of 84th and 85th Streets and it looks horrible.  The Commissioners will have the police check it.

Motion to adjourn: Commissioner Garofalo

           Second: Commissioner Gerkens

Meeting adjourned at 4:42pm.
