REPORTS FROM COMMISSIONERS:

Commissioner Garofalo –

·        We had the exit conference with the Auditor today.  The Borough received the fewest recommendations in years and the general ledger has been straightened out.

Commissioner Gerkens –

·        The beaches from Essex Ave. south are in poor condition.  There is not much we can do.  We are bulldozing and replacing dune fence.  We need the federal beach project.  Mayor Oldham stated that the Asbury Park Press had an article again about the beach funding vs. beach public access, and how the funding will not be given unless the access is obtained; but the Township doesn’t want to gain control of the access unless the funding will be there.

·        The Southern Regional Jazz Band concert was nicely attended this Memorial Day Sunday.  The police were well organized for the event.

Mayor Oldham –

·        The chicken dinner at the firehouse was a success.

·        The police were active this Memorial Day weekend.

·        A biker was hit by a car on side of the road near the Sisters of Charity.

Motion to adjourn: Commissioner Gerkens

           Seconded: Commissioner Garofalo

Meeting adjourned at 1:42pm.
