Mayor Oldham –
· The beaches on the north end look good, but the south end beaches are badly eroded.
· Beach badges started this past Saturday; all lifeguards will be on the beaches this weekend.
· The police cars have a new style. The Chief is putting a new face on the department with positive changes.
PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR –
Art Ballinger, 4 W. 77th Street, suggested that if profit organizations are using the park, the Borough should consider asking them to provide a list of participants in order to determine if the facilities are being utilized by our community.
Mr. Ballinger questioned the Board about a new public works employee who is related to a Commissioner in the Borough. The Board answered his questions and Mr. Ballinger suggested that in the future an ethics or nepotism standard should be implemented. He commented that in his opinion this is not the way to run municipal government.
Motion to adjourn: Commissioner Garofalo
Second: Commissioner Gerkens
Meeting adjourned at 4:54pm.
