HARVEY CEDARS, NJ July 19, 2005
The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of Harvey Cedars, NJ was called to order by Mayor Oldham at 4:30pm who stated to the best of his knowledge all requirements of the State Sunshine Law had been met. Commissioners Gerkens and Garofalo and Board Attorney John Cerefice were present.
Motion to approve the minutes of the previous meeting, July 1, 2005, was made by
Commissioner Gerkens, seconded by Commissioner Garofalo.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE BOROUGH OF HARVEY CEDARS, 1975, ENTITLED “ZONING”

There was a brief discussion by the Board about the obstruction wording in the proposed ordinance. After minor modifications, a motion to adopt was made by Commissioner Garofalo, seconded by Commissioner Gerkens

REPORTS FROM COMMISSIONERS:
Commissioner Gerkens –
· The “Hooked on Fishing – Not on Drugs” event will be held on August 13th. Two swimming beaches will be closed from 9am – 12noon (Cape May and Hudson Ave.) to do this event.
Mayor Oldham –
· Barnegat Light taxpayers are getting heated up regarding the school tax feasibility study. Harvey Cedars’ position remains the same: we will join when there is a majority of the towns involved.
