HARVEY CEDARS, NJ July 18, 2006
The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of Harvey Cedars, NJ was called to order by Mayor Oldham at 4:32pm who stated to the best of his knowledge all requirements of the State Sunshine Law had been met. Commissioners Gerkens and Garofalo and Board Attorney John Cerefice were present.
The Mayor asked all to rise for the Pledge of Allegiance.
The Mayor read the following resolution by title only and asked for a motion to adopt.
AUTHORIZING THE TAX COLLECTOR TO TRANSFER TAX OVERPAYMENT TO THE NEXT OPEN TAX BALANCE
A copy of the resolution is attached hereto and made a part hereof.
Motion to adopt: Commissioner Garofalo
Second: Commissioner Gerkens
The Mayor read the following resolution by title only and asked for a motion to adopt.

Motion to approve the bills for payment was made by Commissioner Gerkens, seconded by Commissioner Garofalo.
A motion was made by Commissioner Garofalo, seconded by Commissioner Gerkens, to approve the request to use Sunset Park to the American Red Cross for the Rock ‘N Ride bike tour on Sunday, September 10, 2006.
A motion was made by Commissioner Gerkens, seconded by Commissioner Garofalo, to approve the request to use Harvey Cedars’ municipal roads and parking areas to High Point Fire Co. for the Dog Day Road Race on August 20, 2006 from 7:00am to 12:30pm.
PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR –
Bill and Joan Campbell, 12 West 85th Street, discussed trash problems with the Board, specifically, between 84th and 85th Streets, and with commercial properties. The Mayor said the Borough is looking into beautifying that strip of property with plantings; and whenever there is an overflow trash problem, the Code Enforcement Officer should be notified. Code Enforcement sends a warning letter on the first offence and a summons will be issued if the problem is not rectified.
