The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of
Harvey Cedars, NJ was called to order by Deputy Mayor Gerkens at 4:30pm who
stated to the best of her knowledge all requirements of the State Sunshine Law
had been met. Commissioner Garofalo was
present; Mayor Oldham was absent.
The Deputy Mayor asked all to rise for the Pledge of Allegiance.
Motion to
approve the minutes of the previous meeting, February 4, 2008, was made by
Commissioner Garofalo.
The
Deputy Mayor read the following resolution by title only and asked for a motion
to adopt.

Motion to approve the bills for payment was made by Commissioner Garofalo.
A motion was made by Commissioner Garofalo to approve the request to use Sunset
Park to Van Grow Art Instruction for summer art camp (for dates to be
determined to coincide with sport camps in July and August 2008) from 9:00am to
11:30am.
REPORTS FROM
COMMISSIONERS:
Commissioner Garofalo –

The Commissioner
mentioned that he and Commissioner Gerkens have switched departments.

Pubic works employees
will be updating their uniforms. New
uniforms should be in by March.
·
Public Works is
finishing up installing water meters in the town.

There will be another
budget meeting this Friday at noon.
This is an open public meeting.
There were 2 members present from the Taxpayer’s Association at the last
budget meeting. We hope to introduce
the budget on March 7, 2008.
PRIVILEGE
OF THE FLOOR –
Lona
LeSchander, 35 Cedars Ave., asked if the Borough provides a free rabies clinic. Commissioner
Gerkens said that the health department does offer one on the north end of the
Island in the spring.
