HARVEY CEDARS, NJ                                                       March 7, 2008

 

The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of Harvey Cedars, NJ was called to order by Mayor Oldham at 4:30pm who stated to the best of his knowledge all requirements of the State Sunshine Law had been met.  Commissioner Garofalo was present, Commissioner Gerkens was absent.

 

The Mayor asked all to rise for the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

Motion to approve the minutes of the previous meeting, February 19, 2008, was made by

Commissioner Garofalo.

 

The Mayor read the following resolution by title only and asked for a motion to adopt.

RESOLUTION #2008-039: 

AUTHORIZING AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT AMONG THE SIX LONG BEACH ISLAND MUNICIPALITIES FOR THE PURPOSE OF MAKING APPLICATION FOR A  S.H.A.R.E.  GRANT TO CONDUCT A FEASIBILITY STUDY TO JOINTLY PROVIDE INSPECTION SERVICES FOR FIRE, PLUMBING & ELECTRIC

The Mayor read the following resolution by title only and asked for a motion to adopt.

RESOLUTION #2008-038: 

ACCEPTING APPLICATION FOR THE SISTERS OF CHERITY OF ST. ELIZABETH TO HOLD A RAFFLE IN THE BOROUGH OF HARVEY CEDARS ON SEPTEMBER 3, 2008 AND WAIVING THE FEE PAYABLE TO THE BOROUGH OFR THE SAME

The Mayor read the following resolution by title only and asked for a motion to adopt.

RESOLUTION #2008-040: 

OPPOSING THE FAILURE OF THE GOVERNOR’S PROPOSED STATE BUDGET FOR THE 2008-2009 FISCAL YEAR TO TREAT PROPERTY TAX RELIEF AS OUR PRIORITY

RESOLUTION #2008-041: Bills

Motion to approve the bills for payment was made by Commissioner Garofalo.
