PRIVILEGE OF FLOOR –

Fire Chief Sean Marti and President Scott Wolfschmidt from the High Point Volunteer Fire Company updated the Board on the proposed new fire truck and the need for financial assistance for the purchase of the truck.  The manufacturer does not need a down payment and it would take approximately 1 year to build. The Fire Company does need a written commitment from both Harvey Cedars and Long Beach Township for their contribution in order to proceed with the order.  The truck costs roughly $737,000; the Fire Company is requesting a third from each municipality and will fund the remaining themselves.  After a brief discussion, the Board said they will discuss the matter and consult the Borough’s auditor on the funding.

Meeting adjourned at 4:55pm.
