The Board discussed with Chief Falkowski the possibility of Harvey Cedars’ officers working off-duty jobs for Stafford Township. The Chief stated that Long Beach Township’s officers currently fill-in for Stafford, and that Stafford pays Long Beach and the officer is paid through payroll at Stafford’s established rates. The Mayor questioned what vehicle would be used and whose insurance covers the officer on duty. The Chief believed it is Stafford’s vehicle, but will get a definite answer.
