HARVEY CEDARS, NJ August 7, 2009
The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of Harvey Cedars, NJ was called to order by Mayor Oldham at 4:30pm. Commissioners Gerkens and Garofalo and Borough Attorney William Hiering, Jr. were present.
The Mayor asked all to rise for the Pledge of Allegiance.
The Mayor stated that pursuant to the applicable portions of the New Jersey Open Public Meetings Act, adequate notice of this meeting has been given. The schedule of this meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of Harvey Cedars is listed in the notice of meetings posted on the bulletin board located in the Borough Hall, posted on the Municipal website and was published in the Beach Haven Times on December 24, 2008.
Motion to approve the minutes of the previous meeting, July 21, 2009, was made by
Commissioner Gerkens, seconded by Commissioner Garofalo.
The Mayor read the following ordinance by title and number and asked for a motion to introduce.

A motion was made by Commissioner Garofalo, seconded by Commissioner Gerkens, to approve the request to use Sunset Park for a wedding ceremony to Amanda Loftus on May 2, 2010 from 5pm to 8pm.
REPORTS FROM COMMISSIONERS:
Mayor Oldham –
· The ad for the bids (beach project) has been posted and bids will be opened on August 25th. The project will be awarded by September 30th.
· The County performed a traffic study on the Boulevard but a report has not been issued yet. A meeting with the public will be scheduled soon in August.
· Lifeguard races were held; the kid’s night at the firehouse was a success; the Dog Day Road Race is coming up on the 16th.
