PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the regular meeting of the Harvey Cedars Board of Commissioners scheduled for Friday, July 5, 2013, has been CANCELLED. Further PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the aforementioned meeting is rescheduled to be held on: Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 11:30am. Public notice is hereby given that the budget and tax resolution was approved by the Governing Body of the Borough of Harvey Cedars on March 19, 2013. A summary of the Municipal Budget was published on March 28, 2013. The regular meeting and budget hearing scheduled for April 16, 2013 was cancelled. Public notice is hereby given that the budget hearing has been rescheduled to be held at the regularly scheduled meeting on Friday, May 3, 2013 at 4:30pm at which time and place objections may be presented by taxpayers or other interested persons. Copies of the Budget are available in the office of the Borough Clerk at the Municipal Building, 7606 Long Beach Blvd., Harvey Cedars, NJ 609-361-6000 x112 during the hours of 8:30am to 4pm.

NOTICE OF SALE OF PROPERTY NOTICE is hereby given that the Borough of Harvey Cedars shall conduct a sale of surplus property online. The address of the auction site is www.govdeals.com. The surplus property is being sold in an “as-is” condition without express or implied warranties. The online auction will start on Monday, March 25, 2013 at 12:00noon. The surplus property being sold is as follows: office chairs, kayak, UHF radios, ATV, hand truck, jewelry. All bidders must pre-register with GovDeals at www.govdeals.com. The successful bidder shall be required to execute a hold harmless and indemnification agreement. The Borough reserves the right to accept or reject any bids submitted.

FEMA Grant Availability to Residents The Borough of Harvey Cedars will be making application through the FEMA Hazard Mitigation Program for a grant to qualified property owners to elevate their home. This is a reimbursement grant, therefore, should funds be made available, the property owner will be responsible for hiring and paying their contractor in full, providing a receipt to the Municipality for reimbursement submission. The Grant may provide 50% to 75% of the cost to elevate. The remaining 25% to 50% cost share, plus any administrative cost born by the municipality must be provided by the property owner. The Municipal Engineer estimates the average project cost to range between fifty (50,000) and one hundred and ten (110,000) Thousand Dollars. Should funds be available, properties awarded funds would be required to post an escrow with the Municipality prior to the commencement of any work to cover administrative costs. NOTICE TO BIDDERS
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids for the purchase and installation of a new Highland 3,000 gallon cylindrical Fireguard compartment tank or equivalent for the Borough of Harvey Cedars will be received at the Municipal Clerk’s Office, 7606 Long Beach Blvd., Harvey Cedars, NJ 08008 until Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud. No facsimile copies of the bids will be accepted. Any bidder submitting a bid to supply equipment to the equivalent of that named in the bidders notice, must provide sufficient specifications with the bid to enable Borough personnel to determine that the equipment asserted to be equivalent is, in fact, an equivalent. Copies of the specifications may be obtained at the Municipal Clerk’s Office of the Borough of Harvey Cedars, 7606 Long Beach Blvd., Harvey Cedars, NJ 08008 or click here (PDF format). Forwarding of bidding documents will be made at bidders’ cost.
Bidder shall submit a Bid Bond, certified check or cashier’s check drawn payable to the Borough of Harvey Cedars in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00 which must be submitted with the proposal as bid security, pursuant to the Local Public Contracts Law NJSA 40A:11-21.
Bids may be submitted by mail or in person at any time prior to the time for receiving and opening the same. Bidders are required to comply with NJSA 10:5-31 et seq. and NJAC 17:27.

Collection and Disposal of Solid Waste and Recyclable Materials
The Contract Specifications Documents may be obtained at the office of the Borough Clerk, 7606 Long Beach Boulevard, Harvey Cedars, New Jersey 08008 during normal business hours Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm upon a non-refundable fee of $50.00 per set. Checks should be made payable to the Borough of Harvey Cedars.All bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked with name, address and phone number of the bidder and the designation “Borough of Harvey Cedars, Solid Waste Bid”. Whether submitted by hand delivery or mail, the Municipal Clerk must receive all such bids no later than 11:00am November 29, 2012. Bidders are required to comply with NJAC P.L. 1975, C. 127, P.L. 1977 C. 33 and Executive Order 11246.
