RESOLUTION #2009-025

A RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH OF HARVEY CEDARS SUPPORTING VARIOUS PROJECTS WITHIN THE BOROUGH OF HARVEY CEDARS AND AUTHORIZING GRANT APPLICATIONS FOR FEDERAL FUNDING

WHEREAS certain Federal funds are potentially available to the Borough under the Federal Stimulus Package administered through State agencies; and

WHEREAS the Borough of Harvey Cedars desires to obtain funding through said program for projects within the Borough.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of Harvey Cedars, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey, hereby supports the following four (4) projects and authorizes applications for funding of the projects:

1. Harvey Cedars Road Improvement Project – the reconstruction/improvement of Maiden Lane.

2. Harvey Cedars Bulkhead Replacement Project – the reconstruction of bulkheads at 74^th Street (aka Lee Avenue) and 85^th Street.

3. Harvey Cedars Public Bathroom Project – the construction of public bathrooms at 80^th Street.

4. Harvey Cedars Park/Playground Project – the construction of a park and playground at the municipal lot on Essex Avenue.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Municipal Clerk are hereby authorized to submit applications on behalf of the Borough of Harvey Cedars.
