RESOLUTION #2006-091

SUPPORTING THE CONCEPT OF APPOINTING A PROFESSIONAL TO ASSIST IN THE REVIEW OF THE REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT’S FINANCES

WHEREAS the Borough of Harvey Cedars is a member of the Southern Regional School District; and

WHEREAS the governing body of the Borough of Harvey Cedars agrees that there is a need to gain a better understanding of the finances of the district; and

WHEREAS it has been agreed by all island communities that this is needed not just by the municipal governing bodies, but also by the school board members representing the island communities.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Governing Body of the Borough of Harvey Cedars agrees that a Certified Public Accountant or Registered Municipal Accountant should be appointed to review and report on the expenditure of funds for the Southern Regional School District.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that when all island municipalities agree to the concept of an appointment, further discussions will be held regarding said appointment and monetary expenditure.
