RESOLUTION #2006-056

 

AUTHORIZING CHANGE ORDER #1 TO THE CONTRACT WITH

EARLE ASPHALT CO.

2005 ROAD RECONSTRUCTION/IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

 

            WHEREAS the State of New Jersey, Department of Transportation, awarded a road reconstruction/improvement grant to the Borough of Harvey Cedars; and

            WHEREAS the Borough of Harvey Cedars opened sealed bids for the 2005 Road Reconstruction/Improvement Project on October 14, 2005; and

            WHEREAS on October 14, 2005, Earle Asphalt Company, the lowest bidder, was awarded the bid in the amount of $171,213.13; and

            WHEREAS, the engineer has determined that lower quantities of certain bid items were required ($5,631.67) and additional quantities of other bid items were needed ($5,448.05) and the Department of Transportation has approved these items.

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of Harvey Cedars that Change Order #1 is hereby approved in the amount of $183.62 for a total contract of $171,029.51.

            BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute this change order.
