RESOLUTION #2007-043

AUTHORIZE EXECUTION OF CONTRACT WITH TELVUE VIRTUAL TELEVISION NETWORKS TO ADMINISTER THE MUNICIPAL ACCESS CHANNEL 22 IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE BOROUGH OF HARVEY CEDARS

WHEREAS the Borough of Harvey Cedars has been approached by TelVue Virtual Television Networks (TVTN) to assist the Borough in the dissemination of municipal information through the use of the local municipal access channel, Comcast Cable channel 22; and

WHEREAS it is the desire of the Borough of Harvey Cedars to notify the public of all emergencies, events, and other public information in an efficient manner; and

WHEREAS TVTN can provide efficiency and creative services to broadcast information at no cost to the municipality as specified in the attached Letter of Intent.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of Harvey Cedars, County of Ocean, that the Mayor and Municipal Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the Letter of Intent with Telvue Virtual Television Networks for the administration of the local municipal channel.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon execution of the Letter of Intent a contract shall be provided by TVTN and the Mayor and Municipal Clerk shall be authorized to execute said contract pending review by the Borough Attorney.
