RESOLUTION #2007-065

AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN INTERLOCAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH THE BOROUGH OF HARVEY CEDARS AND THE TOWNSHIP OF LONG BEACH FOR A

ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

WHEREAS the Interlocal Services Act NJSA 40:8A-1 et seq. authorizes local units as defined in that Act to enter into agreements for provision of certain governmental services; and

WHEREAS William Street in Harvey Cedars borders the North Beach section of Long Beach Township and said street houses residents from both Harvey Cedars (north side) and Long Beach Township (south side); and

WHEREAS both municipalities use William Street to provide services to their residents; and

WHEREAS the Borough of Harvey Cedars desires to enter into an agreement with the Township of Long Beach for the paving of William Street in Harvey Cedars; and

WHEREAS said Interlocal Services Agreement provides that the Borough of Harvey Cedars shall be the lead agency.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of Harvey Cedars that the Mayor and Municipal Clerk of the Borough of Harvey Cedars are hereby authorized and directed to enter into and execute an Interlocal Services Agreement in the form of a Purchase Order issued by the Township of Long Beach to the Borough of Harvey Cedars not to exceed Thirty Five Thousand dollars ($35,000.00) for the road improvement project of William Street.
