RESOLUTION #2007-067

AUTHORIZING CHANGE ORDER #1 FOR THE

2007 WATERMAIN PROJECT

LAFAYETTE UTILITY CONSTRUCTION CO.

WHEREAS a contract was previously awarded to Lafayette Utility Construction Co. for the Water Main Replacement Project; and

WHEREAS the original contract for said work was in an amount of $245,705.25; and

WHEREAS the governing body wishes to authorize Change Order No. 1, which will result in an decrease of $13,162.50 in the contract price as per the attached form; and

WHEREAS this change order has been recommended by the Municipal Engineer and agreed to by the Contractor; and

WHEREAS this change order amounts to a total of less than twenty (20%) percent of the original contract awarded to the Contractor.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of Harvey Cedars, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey, does hereby authorize the execution of the change order with Lafayette Utility Construction Co. for the Water Main Replacement Project to provide for a change in the contract price from $245,705.25 to $232,542.75, a decrease of $13,162.50 as per the attached.
