RESOLUTION #2007-108

AUTHORIZING THE BOROUGH OF HARVEY CEDARS TO ENTER INTO AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF OCEAN FOR THE STATE 966 REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM

WHEREAS the Interlocal Service Act, NJSA 40:8A-1, et. seq. authorizes two or more governmental entities to enter into a mutual service agreement for the provision of certain governmental services; and

WHEREAS the State FY 2008 966 Reimbursement Program is a program run by the Ocean County Sheriffs Department for the purpose of enhancing the County’s ability to respond to and recover from emergencies at the Oyster Creek Nuclear Power Plant; and

WHEREAS through said Program, the Borough of Harvey Cedars has requested and been approved for a portable message sign not to exceed $16,000.00; and

WHEREAS it is the desire of the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of Harvey Cedars to authorize the execution of an agreement with the County of Ocean for the FY 2008 State 966 Reimbursement Program in accordance with the terms set forth in said Agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of Harvey Cedars, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey that the Mayor and Municipal Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Interlocal Government Services Agreement with Ocean County for the 966 Reimbursement Program, a copy of which is attached hereto, in accordance with the provisions of law.
