Administrative Assistant

The successful candidate shall perform a variety of administrative duties throughout the Borough. Essential functions include but are not limited to:

  • Greet and assist visitors, answering questions and directing them to the appropriate office or department.
  • Answer incoming calls, provide accurate information, or route calls to the proper staff.
  • Assist with clerical tasks such as typing, filing, correspondence, and mailing.
  • Support the mailing, collection, and posting of tax and water/sewer bills.
  • Assist with sales of beach badges, vendor licenses, and beach buggy permits.
  • Maintain department supplies and process purchase orders for the Public Safety Departments.
  • Serve as Police Records Clerk, including handling OPRA requests and responding to discovery requests.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks as required.

Preferred minimum of 3 years of experience in secretarial and/or administrative clerical work, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, ability to maintain confidentiality, ability to read and interpret Borough regulations, programs, standards and procedures.

Successful candidate will be required to submit to a full background check.
