Educational Community Forums

PURPOSE: The Harvey Cedars Police Department Educational Community Forums will be an opportunity for two-way educational discussions: from the Harvey Cedars Police Department (HCPD) to the residents of Harvey Cedars, and from the residents of Harvey Cedars to the Police Department.

The Harvey Cedars Police Department Educational Community Forums will be offered with the stated purpose of providing to the residents of Harvey Cedars the following:

  • Informational and enlightening discussions regarding the HCPD, its members, and its operations.
  • Information and enlightening discussions about public safety issues directly affecting them and the town of Harvey Cedars.
  • An opportunity to raise issues of concern to them, as well as any comments, suggestions, and feedback they may want to share with the HCPD.
  • Enhanced knowledge and trust in the value of the HCPD and its individual members.

Providing to the management and members of the HCPD the following:

  • An opportunity to meet and get to know more closely the residents of Harvey Cedars.
  • An opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to the town as well as their expertise in law enforcement and in their specific areas of responsibility.
  • An opportunity for members of the HCPD to tell the residents of Harvey Cedars any information, data, background, suggestions, ideas, or suggestions that they deem useful to the residents of Harvey Cedars.
  • Information and feedback from the Harvey Cedars residents concerning issues and questions that they may feel relevant to the Harvey Cedars Police Department.

FORMAT: Each session will be chaired by John M. Imperiale, Harvey Cedars Commissioner of Public Affairs and Public Safety and Rob Burnaford, Chief of Police, Harvey Cedars. Officers of the Harvey Cedars Police Department will participate as appropriate for each Forum topic.

 

 Spring Forums will be held on the 2nd Wednesday of April, May, and June 

Fall Forums will be held on the 2nd Wednesday of September and October,
and the 3rd Wednesday of November (2nd Wed in Nov. is a Holiday) 

All forums will be held at the Harvey Cedars Borough Hall from 5pm to 6pm.
