HARVEY CEDARS NOTICE OF PENDING BOND ORDINANCE #2026-05 SUMMARY

The bond ordinance, the summary terms of which are included herein, was introduced and passed upon first reading at a meeting of the governing body of the BOROUGH OF HARVEY CEDARS, IN THE COUNTY OF OCEAN, State of New Jersey, on March 16, 2026.  It will be further considered for final passage, after public hearing thereon, at a meeting of the governing body to be held in Municipal Offices, 7606 Long Beach Blvd, Harvey Cedars, New Jersey on April 20, 2026 at 4:30 o’clock PM.    During the week prior to and up to and including the date of such meeting copies of the full ordinance will be available at no cost and during regular business hours, at the Clerk’s office for the members of the general public who shall request the same.  The summary of the terms of such bond ordinance follows:

Title: AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF HARVEY CEDARS, IN THE COUNTY OF OCEAN, NEW JERSEY, PROVIDING FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE DOWNTOWN BUSINESS DISTRICT’S STREETSCAPE PHASE 4 IN THE BOROUGH AND APPROPRIATING $450,000 THEREFOR, AND PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF $450,000 IN BONDS OR NOTES OF THE BOROUGH OF HARVEY CEDARS TO FINANCE THE SAME

Purposes:

The improvement hereby authorized and the purpose for which the bonds are to be issued is for phase four of the improvement of the downtown business district, located on Long Beach Boulevard in the Borough, and including all work and materials necessary therefor and incidental thereto.

 

Appropriation: $450,000

Bonds/Notes Authorized: $450,000

Grants (if any) Appropriated: $414,431

Section 20 Costs: $90,000

Useful Life: 10 Years
